How to take FORTEO

FORTEO® (teriparatide [rDNA origin] injection) is taken through a once-a-day injection with a device called the FORTEO delivery device/pen.

Before using your FORTEO Delivery Device/Pen, please watch our Usage Tutorial. It will explain, step by step, how to prepare and use your delivery device/pen to administer FORTEO. Also, you can learn about how to travel with FORTEO.

If you are unable to give yourself injections and don't have a caregiver who can do it for you, you still have options: there are healthcare professionals who can come to your home and help you with your injection. Ask your doctor for more information.

Please note that the materials on this website are not meant to be a substitute for in-person training from a healthcare professional on how to use your FORTEO Delivery Device. Ask your doctor about where you can get in-person training, or call 1-866-4FORTEO (1-866-436-7836).
